Shipping.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS - At checkout only domestic (US) shipping charges will be processed. For INTERNATIONAL collectors, please choose ‘International Shipping’ option at checkout. Shipping will read as a zero charge at checkout, but will be quoted and billed separately AFTER the order is placed. This is due to the ever fluctuating cost in shipping outside of the US, customs and etc. Once your order is placed, an invoice will be promptly sent to you and must be paid in full before the artwork or product will be shipped.

Originals

  • Paintings (especially oil paintings) take a substantial amount of time to dry. I will not ship a painting before it is ready to be tightly packaged, about 4-7 weeks from painting completion.

  • All artwork is wrapped in paper, padded extremely well, and sent in a well-fitting sturdy cardboard box.

  • Most artwork will ship via USPS or FEDEX, and most packages arrive within 2-4 days (domestic) from time of shipping (includes tracking & insurance for the full value of the artwork). International shipments will be sent via USPS or other carrier. International buyers, please note that shipping charges are billed separately. Please see more information under the International Shipments section or email me with questions / to get an estimate.

Artwork larger than 50 inches on any side is sent un-stretched and rolled safely in a sturdy tube.  We will then work with a local framer to build the support bars and stretch the canvas.  This usually costs between $100-200 depending on the size and location.  
If you prefer to ship your large painting fully stretched we will use a freight service to expertly handle the painting and deliver it right to your living room ($300-500). 

Prints & Other Products

  • All prints are handled with the utmost care, packaged beautifully in paper or plastic sleeve.

  • Prints & other products 11x14” and smaller are mailed in a sturdy flat mailer while prints 16x20” and larger are mailed in a thick tube.

  • Shipped via USPS 1st Class Mail or Priority Mail (usually arrives within 1-3 days within the US).

International Shipments

  • International Shipping costs cover fees, packaging supplies, time, labor, and storage, and are calculated after checkout based on package weight and distance. Once your order is placed, you will receive an invoice for shipping that must be paid before your order is put in the mail. Thank you for understanding!

  • I ship all international packages with insurance for the full price of the artwork. Sometimes border fees and duties / handling fees may be charged by customs depending on the destination country. These extra costs and fees are the sole responsibility of the Collector. It is also the Collector’s responsibility to arrange pickup or delivery of the artwork if it is held at customs in their country. I am unable to help with any packages that are held up at customs.

  • Unfortunately, due to customs and package losses, there are a few countries that I am unable to ship to. Please contact me for more information.

Return Policy.

Can I return the artwork I purchased?

All sales of original artwork are final. If you wish to return a reproduction print, a restocking fee amounting to 20% of the print cost will be applied. We are more than happy to exchange a print for you, though the restocking fee for the original print will still be applied, since we print to order and try our best not to have prints sitting in stock.

How long do I have to return or exchange a print?

Please unbox and check your prints immediately upon receiving them. We accept print returns and exchanges within 14 days of receipt. if you do not reach out within 14 days, we will be unable to make a return, so please be prompt! Please note the above restocking fee.

This timeline is flexible during the winter holiday season. Please be aware that an exchange may not arrive in time for Christmas if the new print is unable to be printed until after December 12th, because we fulfill exchange requests only after receiving the returned print.

I purchased a print but now it’s on sale. Can I have the discount applied after the fact?

Of course! I am happy to issue a retroactive discount if the purchase was made within a week of the beginning of the sale.

I requested a return. When will my replacement artwork ship or when will I receive my refund?

Your replacement artwork will ship / or refund will be issued only after receiving your return back to the studio + receiving your communication via email.

How do I send the print back?

I ask that you return your print in its original packaging. If your print came in a tube, it must be returned with both end caps. if you opened the package and threw one end cap away, tape is not a replacement. We are only able to provide you a functioning shipping label if the weight and dimensions are accurate and the same as when we initially shipped the package. If you do not have the original packaging, please go to the post office and purchase a stiff mailer or sturdy tube as well as postage. I am unable to provide you a refund for artwork that is damaged in transit back to the studio due to poor packaging.

My artwork arrived damaged or was not delivered or was lost or stolen from my doorstep. Can you help?

Art By Karina is not liable for any mishandling or failed delivery by the shipping service and we are not liable for any damage incurred post-delivery. I work hard to package each order with care in sturdy flat mailers or tubes so that it arrives undamaged and I suggest you handle your new artwork with care when framing and stretching. That being said, this is how situations that fall outside of our control are typically handled:

For damaged prints or originals: If your artwork is damaged in transit, I will be happy to handle this on a case by case basis with individual collectors who are able to provide details and documentation of the damage. Certain creasing and bends in artwork can be flattened. Collectors may be asked to file a claim with the shipping service. If the order is a complete loss and we are able to offer a reprint, we ask that you return the print to our studio either in it’s original packaging or in sturdy packaging purchased at your local post office. Collectors are responsible for shipping costs for replacement prints. I am unable to replace for free any prints damaged after delivery so please keep your print in a place away from potential water or heat damage and handle the artwork with care when framing and stretching.

Artwork Not Delivered / Lost / Stolen: If your package was marked ‘delivered’ and yet is nowhere to be found, please first check your confirmation email to ensure that you inputted the correct shipping address. I am unable to replace any print order for free if the shipping address is incorrect. If the package is returned to the studio marked ‘undeliverable’, I am more than happy to forward it to your correct address although I ask that you cover the postage. If the address is correct and you believe your package has been lost, stolen or if you missed the delivery, you must contact the shipping service personally. Unfortunately there isn’t anything I am able to do on my end, so I am unable to address any failed delivery or theft issues directly. If a package is unable to be delivered, and it is returned to the studio. I am happy to reship but ask that you pay for the additional postage. I am unable to reprint any order for free that has not been delivered, lost or stolen.

I ordered a print but I just don’t think it’s a fit for my space. What do I do?

Please take the time to read descriptions carefully and check the colors on multiple screens if you are concerned about color variations. I try my best to represent the colors and tones in my work honestly and accurately. I am happy to exchange your print for another one that will work better in your space. Please see able for the exchange policy.
